An alert train conductor and engineer were able to stop a commuter train just in time Tuesday morning around 10:55 a.m. to avoid hitting a woman lying on train tracks in Cohasset.
Cohasset Police Chief Bill Quigley says the woman, a Cohasset resident, was on the tracks between the Pleasant Street and Pond Street crossings.
Quigley says the woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
The Chief reminds people that you can call or text 988 for the suicide and crisis lifeline for help for yourself, or someone you know.
