Braintree Police are investigating a reported home invasion.
The incident took place about 7:40 p.m. Monday at a residence on Bickford Rd.
Police say Units arrived within minutes of the call and discovered two residents on the outside of the home, one with minor facial injuries.
The injured victim said that he answered a knock on the door and was immediately assaulted.
The suspects were described as three “tall” black males in their late teens or early twenties.
Both the victim and the other occupant said one of the men had a pistol in his waistband and the suspects referred to the victim by name.
They spent a short time in the residence before speeding away in a small black sedan, possibly a BMW.
A motive for the crime is being investigated, however police say it may be related to online gaming and other online activity and that it appears to be a targeted crime and an isolated incident.
