Passover, which celebrates the Biblical story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt, begins Wednesday night at sundown and is traditionally observed with a Seder Dinner meal.
Rabbi Alfred Benjamin, of Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills in Milton, tells WATD News that there are other symbolic items on the table as well.
Rabbi Benjamin says that the purpose of these items to connect with the Biblical story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt.
Passover will end next Thursday April 13.
