A Brockton man facing charges for two murders, is facing federal charges for trying to obtain a replacement passport.
The U.S. The Attorney’s Office says 40-year-old Johnny Barros Brandao was accused of requesting a replacement passport after saying his had been lost.
Brandao’s passport had been confiscated after he was arrested for murder, by the Cabo Verde courts.
According to charging documents, Brandao is accused of killing two individuals, in 2014 and 2021.
Brandao could be facing up to 10 years in prison, along with $250,000 dollars in fines, and three years of supervision post-release.
A hearing is set for May 12.
