Do you hear that? Hound lovers can. That is the sound of Baxter baying hello…again! You may remember we featured Baxter not too long ago. Well our friends at Scituate Animal Shelter tell us they are wishing and hoping this pup finds a home soon, he’s been in the shelter far too long! So let’s meet Baxter once again.
Baxter is all things young coonhound! He is fun-loving, smart and enjoys his time outside. Nose to ground, Baxter loves to have a job and a focus! He is always looking to keep himself busy and would love a fenced yard to explore and patrol.
Baxter is young, less then a year old, and so eager to learn! He is treat motivated and eager to please. He will be an excellent student to someone willing to put in the work.
This large guy is super friendly with all. He will be very loud when on leash and spots other dogs but he really just wants to make new friends. Baxter is extremely strong and will need someone who can handle him. He has been learning to walk very nicely on a front-connect harness.
We are looking for a home for Baxter without small animals or cats. He would likely really enjoy another dog to be his buddy — it helps to get his energy out! Baxter is big, strong and goofy so older teens and adults are preferred.
If you know and love Coonhound, Baxter is for you!
