Say hello to Callie! Callie is a 6-year-old mix breed dog who would love to find a forever home to spend the second half of her life in. Callie, through no fault of her own, came to CARE, Southcoast Center for Animal Rescue and Education after her human dad had to be moved due to illness. The team at CARE, Southcoast tell us she has done amazing in her foster home and they say she is the sweetest and funniest girl ever.
Callie would do best in an only pet home with adults or kids 10+ years old. Callie is a big girl — at her last veterinary appointment she weighed around 87 pounds — and can sometimes be a bit of a bulldozer so best to avoid a home with younger kids. Callie has been nothing but sweet to everyone she’s met and despite her life being flipped upside down overnight, she has allowed all these new people into her world to handle her without issue. Callie is the most playful girl and she really likes playing with her toys, playing fetch, running around in the yard, sunbathing, napping on the couch or your bed, taking car rides, biting the hose, and enjoying tasty snacks.
Callie has some food allergies that bother her skin, but they have been easily managed with diet. Half of Callie’s adoption fee has been sponsored and she will also have unlimited training support from the CARE Southcoast team should she need it! If you think Callie could be the girl for you, email caredogvolunteers@gmail.com! Thank you for helping us spread the word about Callie!
