In Plymouth, the Town Election is less than 3 weeks away on May 20th.
The Town Clerk says early voting begins soon. WATD’s Bobbi Clark has more…
Town Clerk Kelly McElreath says there are six candidates for two three-year terms on the Select Board:
“We have Everett Malaguti, Vedna Heywood, Kevin Canty, Francis Mand, Wrestling Brewster, and Richard Quintal and voters will be asked to vote for two.”
There are four candidates for two three-year terms on the School Committee:
“Michelle Badger, Dan Sullivan, Michael Spellman, Robert Morgan, and again, voters will be asked to vote for two.”
For Planning Board, Carl Donaldson is running for the five year term and David Peck for a one-year term. And, McElreath says, candidates for Town Meeting are also on the ballot:
“In each of the 18 precincts that we have here in Plymouth, we’ll have up to three Town Meeting members running on the ballot for a three-year term.”
And on the second page of the ballot:
“We have a ballot question on whether or not the proposed charter that the Charter Commission finalized in the fall should be accepted by the Town of Plymouth.”
The Town Clerk says ballots arrived this week so anyone who won’t be in town on election day…
“…can come in and vote in the office. We also have vote by mail on-going at this point.”
In person early voting begins on Thursday, May 11th at Town Hall. Dates and times are available on the town website at plymouth-ma.gov.
