A Brockton man is facing charges after he allegedly failed to comply with a traffic stop.

Hanson Police say that at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Main St. that was traveling at over 90 mph.

The driver allegedly failed to stop for the officers and fled down Phillips St. to the rear of the Depot Village Apartments.

Another officer arrived on scene and the driver, identified only as a 23-year-old man, was taken into custody.

Police say the driver gave a false name to the officers before he was identified by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department BCI Unit, which determined that he didn’t have a license.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in Plymouth District Court on charges including Failure of Stop for Police, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Providing a False Name along with other motor vehicle charges.
