Hundreds Gather for Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration in Hingham

Hundreds of people gathered at the Hingham Bathing Beach to celebrate Juneteenth, which was organized by the Hingham Unity Council.
The event included music, speeches, face paint for children, food trucks, and much more.
Chair, Katie Sutton, says this holiday is key in uniting the community.
Stacie Quilty, a resident of Hingham, says she loves supporting events like this.
Hull State Representative, Joan Meschino, says it is great to see a big turnout for an event hosted by the Hingham Unity Council.
Manny Oppong, a member of the Hingham Unity Council board, says events like this can help to educate the future generations.
