About 50 people gathered on Plymouth Town Wharf Friday afternoon to protest the potential discharge of radioactive water from the former Pilgrim nuclear power plant into Cape Cod Bay.
Newly elected member of the Plymouth Select Board, Kevin Canty, spoke.
So did Plymouth Board of Health chairman Barry Potvin.
The plant’s current owner, Holtec, has applied for a permit to discharge the water that previously cooled the radioactive core rather than transport it.
