One person is dead after a construction accident at the Brockton Hosptial work site.
According to Brockton Police spokesperson Darren Duarte, Brockton Police and State Police were called to the area of Quincy Ave and Libby Street around noon on Tuesday.
Duarte says a report had come in that a Bobcat had tipped over in an area behind the hospital, which has been closed since a ten-alarm fire in early Februrary.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz spoke during a press conference at the scene.
The victim was identified as 63-year-old Roger Porter, of East Sandwich. He was employed with LMA Services of Stoughton.
State and federal investigators have been called to the scene, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, has begun inspection of LMA Services in response to the incident.
