A 61-year-old man was stabbed several times in Abington. Police say a suspect was arrested and is facing multiple charges.
Police say around 5 p.m. on Friday, a 9-1-1 caller reported the stabbing near Rosie’s Liquors and Deli at 751 Bedford Street.
Officers responded to the area, and located the victim, who had been stabbed several times.
As the Fire Department attended to his wounds, the victim gave a description of the suspect.
Police began the search, aided by K-9 Kano, and located him at an apartment complex on Shaw Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident, and a knife was recovered.
26-year-old Devon Pelrine, of Taunton, is set to be arraigned (Monday) today in Brockton District Court. He’s facing charges that include Armed Assault to Murder, Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon on a person 60 years or older.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
