Police are investigating after two teenagers were killed in Braintree.
Police say that at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, several 911 callers reported hearing multiple shots fired on Alfred Rd.
Officers arrived on-scene and found two individuals in a parked motor vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims, identified by the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office as 16-year-old Jahzier Porter of Braintree and 19-year-old Jayden Santos-Andrade, of Dorchester, were transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
There was a third person in the car, but they were not uninjured.
Mayor Charles Kokoros said that Porter had been a student at Braintree High School and he was discussing ways to make resources available to members of the school community.
