Don’t ask our friends at the Scituate Animal Shelter about Gary. If you do, they will spend roughly three hours telling you about the greatest cat who ever lived. A cat who everyone loves.
That is Gary. He is everything a cat should be. He is handsome, lovable, and a true gentleman. Gary gives off the vibe that nothing bothers him. He loves food, a nice cat tree and to be around his people. He is the whole feline package.
The crew at the shelter have had almost four months to love Gary because when he was found he had a wound that required him to be on a quarantine. Did Gary care? No. He has been happily spending his time in his space, gracing us with his presence.
Gary is also FeLV+. This means he should either be an only feline or live with another positive cat. He can live with humans of any age and dogs, this disease is only transmittable to other cats.
Gary is a Maine Coon cat who is about 2-years-old and in great health. He likely has tons of years left to give, making someone extremely lucky to know him.
Gary is not yet off quarantine, that will be July 21st. We hope to have an adopter lined up so on that day he can head to his new home! We will all shed both happy and sad tears as we watch Gary head to his new life!
