A missing Stoughton woman has been found.
A search has been ongoing for 31-year-old Emma Tetewsky since she was reported missing on June 26.
Easton Police Chief Keith Boone and Easton Fire Chief Justin Alexander and Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara say that at around 6 p.m. Monday some hikers in Borderland State Park called 911 and said they heard a woman screaming for help in a swamp-like area.
Easton officers arrived on scene and heard Tetewsky but could not see her.
Three officers waded 50 feet from the shore, through thick brush and swamp, to reach her and with the aid of firefighters and the use of all-terrain vehicles carried Tetewsky back to land.
Officials say she may have been trapped at that location for at least three days.
Tetewsky was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with what are described as “serious, but not believed to be life-threatening, injuries.”
