A mistrial has been declared in the murder trial for Emanuel Lopes.
The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the information for WATD News.
Lopes was being charged with the murders of Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna and 77-year-old Vera Adams in July of 2018.
The District Attorney’s Office tells WATD News the next court appearance for the case will take place on July 24 at 2 p.m.
