A second Brockton teenager has died as a result of a crash that took place on North Main St. in Randolph Tuesday night.
The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office says that shortly before 10:30 p.m. Randolph Police were called to the scene of the crash on North Main St.
Initial observations and investigation indicated that a 2011 Nissan left the roadway, and collided with a tree in the vicinity of 701 North Main St.
The deceased, identified as 15-year-old Terry Boston, Jr. of Brockton, was pronounced on scene.
A person believed to be his brother, 18-year-old Makhi Boston, later died from his injuries.
There were also two female passengers who were transported via ambulance to area hospitals, their condition is not known at this time.
Brockton Public Schools Superintendent Michael P. Thomas released the following statement:
“This morning, we learned that a second member of our school community succumbed to injuries sustained in a car crash which occurred in Randolph on Tuesday night. The young man was a 2023 graduate of Brockton High School and the older brother of the rising 10th grade student who died in the crash.
It is difficult to express the profound sense of loss felt within our city. These were two young people whose positive influence extended far beyond the walls of our school building. We will come together as a community to support their loved ones and honor their lives.
The district is offering counseling and social emotional support today from 1 to 3 p.m. for any student or staff member in need of assistance. We ask the media to please respect their privacy as they grieve and to please avoid Brockton High School during the counseling hours so as not to discourage students from attending.”
The incident remains under investigation by Randolph Police, the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit, and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
