Two People Injured after Shooting Outside Brockton District Court

Brockton Police say two people are in custody, and two people were transported to a hospital after a shooting outside of the District Courthouse.
Police spokesman Darren Duarte says just after 12:30 Monday, officers responded to the area of 215 Main Street.
Preliminarily, police say the shooting resulted in non-life threatening injuries to a female victim, and injuries to a male whose condition is being assessed.
A gun was recovered as part of the investigation.
Following the incident, there was a stay-in-place alert for those who live and work nearby, including City Hall, War Memorial, and Brockton Public School Central building. Those orders have now been lifted.
Police say this is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to public safety.
