Warrant Issued For Man In Connection With Shooting At Myles Standish State Forest

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in the Myles Standish State Forest.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says the warrant is for 20-year-old John Geovanni Pires Monteiromacedo.
On Wednesday afternoon, Plymouth Police received several 9-1-1 calls reporting the shooting.
25-year-old Robert Aponte-Flores, of New Bedford was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported a fight between Monteiromacedo and the victim just before the shooting.
