Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz joined WATD to discuss the Plymouth County comfort dog program.
Police departments are provided with grants to assist with the costs of acquiring, training, and caring for comfort dogs.
The program has been designed to be implemented by each town’s school resource officer. The dogs provide support during the day, at night, and weekends. There are currently seven comfort dogs in the program.
