Whether it’s a hurricane or a blizzard, every homeowner should always have certain items on hand.
Marshfield Fire Chief Jeff Simpson says especially in coastal areas, people should have a “go kit,” with clothing, water, medications, a flashlight, and a radio.
With strong winds, people should secure outdoor furniture and decorations.
He says if people use generators, they should use them away from their homes or windows due to carbon monoxide.
