An arraignment has been scheduled for a Duxbury woman who is accused of strangling her three children to death.
Court officials say a Superior Court arraignment will take place for 32-year-old Lindsay Clancy on Thursday. The remote hearing will take place from Tewksbury Hospital, where Clancy is being treated.
She is facing multiple counts of murder and strangulation in connection to the deaths of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan Clancy.
In January, Duxbury police responded to a home on Summer Street after a 9-1-1 call reported a suspected suicide attempt. First responders located Clancy, who was treated on scene and transported to the hospital.
The three children were located in the basement, with obvious signs of trauma. Two were transported to the hospital, where they later died. Callan Clancy was medflighted to Boston Children’s Hospital, where he was treated for several days before he passed away.
Lindsay Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, says Clancy was struggling with mental health issues and was taking a variety of medications.
Clancy has extensive injuries after a reported suicide attempt from a second-story window. Doctors say she had rib and spinal fractures, and will likely be paraplegic.
The arraignment is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
