Crews were called to scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Monday night.
Bourne Police say that shortly after 7:30 p.m. they were dispatched to MacArthur Blvd., in the area of the Bourne landfill, for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival officers found multiple involved vehicles with two people injured in the roadway.
A preliminary investigation has concluded that there was an initial crash which caused two vehicles to become disabled in the roadway.
In an effort to avoid a crash with the disabled vehicles, the driver of a third vehicle, identified as a 21-year-old woman from Centerville, swerved and struck two pedestrians that were out of their vehicles due to the first crash.
The two injured people, identified as a 56-year-old man from Everett and a 31-year-old man from Bourne were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.
The northbound side of MacArthur Blvd., from Waterhouse Rd. to the South Rotary, was closed for approximately four hours as a result of the crash and investigation.
This incident remains under investigation.
