In Rockland, a fundraiser to benefit the LEO Support Foundation is taking place on Friday at Article Fifteen Brewing.
WATD’s Christine James interviews Plymouth County Deputy Sheriff, Jim Creed, retired Plymouth Police officer, Tom Kelley, and State Police sergeant, Mike Best, about the LEO Support Foundation and resources they provide to first responders.
The LEO Support Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides protective and life-saving equipment that departments may not otherwise be able to afford. Working with Start Me Another Car (SMAC), they connect first responders with resources to address mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention.
The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a critical incident stress management training, sponsored by the LEO Support Foundation and Start Me Another Car. The trio of officers hope to raise funds for first responders to be able to attend the training sessions at a reduced cost.
The doors open on Friday, November 24 at 6:30 at Article XV Brewing in Rockland at 406 VFW Drive.
The show starts at 8 p.m. with comedians Jerry Thornton and Graig Murphy, and DJ Steve Hall.
