The WATD Fantasy Draft is back! It’s the second week of the playoffs, and everyone is ready to put on their best performance. With the South Shore’s top stars to choose from, the boys put together their draft boards.
We’ll continue selecting one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers, and this year we’ve added one team defense.

In a bit of friendly competition, we’ll see whose squad wins out each week.
Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.
Defensively, points will be strictly based on how many points a team surrenders. A shutout earns 10 points, while 1 to 6 points allowed earns 8, 7 to 13 earns 6, 14 to 20 earns 4, 21 to 27 earns 2, 28 to 34 earns 1, and 35+ does not earn any.
Week 9 Draft Results
While the final scores are not entirely completed, it was Johnny who took home the win behind top performances at the quarterback and running back positions.
Though the two Plymouth teams couldn’t find their way through to the second round, both posted valiant efforts with their senior leaders leading the way. Shamus Whiting (Plymouth North, Johnny’s Squad) set a season high for the WATD Fantasy Draft, going for over 400 yards passing and four touchdowns. Whiting was sensational in a shootout with Marshfield, finishing with 37.4 fantasy points.
Out in Billerica, Plymouth South fell just short of knocking off the 2 seed in overtime. Casious Johnson (Johnny’s Squad) was his usually dominant self, carrying the ball 21 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns for a 21.5 point day.
At the wide receiver position, Logan Zemotel (Plymouth North, Quinn’s Squad) narrowly edged Mehki Bryan (Hanover, Brendan’s Squad) for the top point-getter award. Zemotel was the chief beneficiary of Whiting’s big day, hauling in eight catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Bryan had a similarly big day, scoring twice on three catches and 127 yards. Zemotel’s 25.8 points just squeaked by Bryan’s 24.7.
