Say hello to Scrappy! Our friends at the Scituate Animal Shelter are not quite sure what breed Scrappy is (maybe a Lab mix) but one thing they know for sure is Scrappy is full of spunk! While Scrappy may look large, he is only around 25 pounds and he is a really high-energy, fun-loving fella looking for an active home to keep him busy. He greets everyone by jumping on them followed by kisses. He doesn’t have too many manners but he knows basic commands like “sit” and he responds to his name.
Scrappy is pretty indifferent to other dogs. He can likely find a playmate in the future and could probably live with a dog. His energy may be too much for a cat. Scrappy is a fan of humans but given his jumpy nature we are looking for a home with older kids and adults.
We don’t know anything about Scrappy’s past but we do know his future is bright!
For more information on how to adopt Scrappy reach out to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org.
All dogs are fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and heartworm tested before adoption. Scrappy’s adoption fee is $500. Adoption fees help the shelter continue to help pets in need.
Open shelter hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm so you can view adoptable pets. You can apply for an animal at the shelter during open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and it’s been determined you are the best fit. The shelter does not operate on a first come, first served basis.
