A local State Senator will not be seeking another term.
WATD’s Bobbi Clark has more.
In Plymouth, folks who showed up this Wednesday, the 29th, at the Waterfront Bar and Grill for a fund raiser to re-elect State Senator Susan Moran were told the event was cancelled—and there’s a reason for that.
In a phone conversation with the Falmouth Democrat, she stated that she has decided not to run for re-election and continue representing the Plymouth Barnstable District—a position she has held since 2020, but will run instead for Barnstable County Superior Court Clerk, a six year post that will appear on the 2024 ballot.
She explained that this is position that because of her background in mental health and addiction treatment and experience as a practicing attorney, is of great interest to her. She intends to pull papers for the position as soon as they are available.
