Trooper Injured In Route 24 Crash

A State Trooper was injured following a crash on Route 24.
State Police say that at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday the trooper had stopped a car in West Bridgewater.
A preliminary investigation has determined that a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 38-year-old Ildo Wilson De Pina of Taunton, reared ended the Trooper’s cruiser.
The crash pushed the Tacoma and the cruiser into the Trooper and the vehicle he had previously pulled over.
The Trooper suffered non-life threatening injuries while De Pina and the other driver sustained minor injuries.
All three were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton for treatment.
Depina is being charged with OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, move over law violation, and marked lanes violation.
