Voters in Plymouth say no to a ban on Nips.

Unofficial results from Saturday’s Special Election Referendum show 51% of voters saying no to a ban on the single serving liquor containers.

A ban on the sale of nips was approved by Town Meeting last October on a 72 to 67 vote.

However, Town Clerk Kelly McElreath says opponents of the ban were able to get signatures from three percent of registered voters to get the issue placed on the ballot.

The measure was scheduled to go into effect on July 1.
