Say hello to Elise! Elise is a sweet-as-pie 50 lb. lap dog. This adorable English Bulldog mix loves her humans more than most, and is just looking for unconditional love and someone to show her the same in return. She is convinced she is a lapdog and lives for belly rubs!
Our friends at Scituate Animal Shelter tell us Elise is about 5-years-old and while she is a low rider, she is still pretty active! She loves to run and chase balls and has fun with squeaky toys.
Like many bulldogs, Elise suffers from allergies. She eats a prescription diet and is on daily prescription allergy medication. This will likely be life long to help give her relief from being itchy. Her new adopter should have a good relationship with their vet in order to continue these medications.
Elise also has some arthritis, likely from poor breeding. This girl will need some medication to help relieve the pain in her joints, to keep her active and give her many years of walks and running.
Elise likes other dogs but may prefer to be the only canine in the home. She has met quite a few dogs here and has been a good girl. She really loves people though!
Elise is a true love. She quickly became a favorite at the shelter, loving everyone she meets!
