An Abington student is facing charges after they allegedly brought a BB gun to school.
Abington Police say that shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday they received a call from the Abington High School Principal about the possible presence of a firearm at the school.
The principal said a student reported seeing another student with a firearm in a school bathroom.
Police say the student was quickly identified and removed without incident.
Officers also recovered a black BB pistol that looks very similar to a 9mm Glock 19 Pistol.
The student, identified only as a juvenile, is being charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon on School Grounds.
