A man has been ordered held without bail after he was charged with Child Rape.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday night Rockland Police were dispatched to the Comfort Inn on Hingham St. for a report of a sexual assault.
Upon arrival, officers encountered the 15 year-old female victim, who was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment.
The District Attorney’s Office says Rockland Police then conducted an investigation and developed probable cause to arrest 26-year-old Cory B. Alvarez.
Alvarez resided at the hotel which is currently part of a state/federal program to house migrant families.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday in Hingham District Court on one count of Aggravated Rape of a Child.
Alvarez was ordered to surrender his passport, and have no contact with the victim while in custody.
He is scheduled to have a dangerousness hearing on Friday, March 22.
