Duxbury police assisted Plymouth detectives with an investigation of a violent crime incident that occurred in Plymouth involving a handgun on February 28.
Police say they went to a Saw Mill Lane home to retrieve several items as evidence including a handgun.
Prior to the officers’ arrival, they were told by witnesses that two males had entered the home and appeared to have removed some evidence including a handgun, later determined to be be a pepper ball gun.
Plymouth police, assisted by Pembroke canine, Duxbury officers, and the Plymouth County Sheriff, conducted a search of the area but found no one,
Surveillance video determined that the two suspects were picked up by someone in a vehicle.
Police say a search of the home resulted in the seizure of several pieces of evidence. One person has been arrested in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
