After romping through the first two legs of the Division 3 tournament, the Hanover girls lacrosse team bowed out in a high-scoring loss to Medfield in the Elite Eight.
It was a disappointing end to a successful season that saw the Hawks rack up 12 wins and enter the tourney as the seven-seed.
Despite heavy attrition on defense and in the attack unit, a motivated Hanover group has come back this year looking poised to build off their first appearance in the state quarterfinals since the 2019 sectional finals run.

On Sunday night, senior captains Olivia Damon, Ayla McDermod, Eva Kelliher, and Emma Dolan joined the Sports Exchange to discuss their season thus far.
From bringing along first time starters, to lofty goal setting for the 2024 campaign, the Hawks’ captains gave the rundown on everything going on early in the season.
With their intentions set clearly on taking home the Patriot League Fisher Division title, the Hawks will look to continue their undefeated start to the season in this week’s Patriots Cup.
