A Halifax man is facing charges following a crash at a Dunkin’ drive thru.
Cohasset Police say that on Tuesday they responded to the King St. location for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pick-up truck hitting another vehicle in the drive-thru.
Callers reported that the driver of the pick-up truck appeared to be having a seizure and the truck was in gear and spinning tires.
Upon arrival officers found that bystanders had been able to place the pick-up truck in Park and secure it.
They began to give the driver emergency aid and discovered a crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia nearby.
The driver, identified as 28-year-old Alex E. Neumeier, was arrested on the scene and transported to South Shore Hospital.
Police say an investigation at the scene uncovered a large amount of white powder, thought to be cocaine, inside the truck.
Neumeier was arraigned at Quincy District Court on charges of Trafficking in Class B Drugs over 100 Grams; OUI – Drugs; and Negligent Operation of a motor vehicle.
He is being held at the Norfolk County House of Correction pending a dangerousness hearing.
