The South Shore will be celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks, family activities, parades, and road races.
Wednesday, July 3
Randolph – The Night Before the Fourth parade and fireworks kicks off at 7 pm from the Higashi School, proceeds down North Main Street to Crawford Square.
There will be food trucks on Diauto Drive.
The night is capped off with fireworks beginning at 9 pm.
Weymouth – The annual Night Before the Fourth begins with family activities at 5 pm and fireworks at 9:30 pm at George Lane Beach on River Street.
Sharon – Independence Day celebration begins at 4 pm at Memorial Park Beach with activities and food trucks.
Fireworks at 9:15 pm over Lake Massapoag.
Thursday, July 4
Plymouth – The day gets underway with a 5K road race at 7:30 am at Pilgrim Memorial Park on Water Street.
The parade steps off at 9 am at Cordage Park, turns onto Court Street, proceeds down Main Street, onto Water Street, and ends at Pilgrim Memorial Park at Coles Hill.
At 7;30 pm the Plymouth Philharmonic performs at Pilgrim Memorial Park followed by fireworks at 9:15 pm.
Duxbury – The annual parade begins at 2 pm at Halls Corner, proceeds down Washington Street and concludes at Duxbury High School. This year’s theme is Duxbury Hometown Spirit.
Hingham – The annual road race begins at 7 am.
The annual parade starts at 10 am near Hingham High School, goes down Main Street, and finishes on Station Street.
Quincy – The city will have its annual neighborhood parades.
The Squantum parade begins at 10 am at the First Church of Squantum on Bellevue Road.
The Merrymount parade steps off at 12:30 pm at Merrymount School.
Stoughton – Parade begins at 10 am at Stoughton High School and goes down Pearl Street through the town center, ending at Park and Prospects streets.
