Three people were taken into custody after allegedly planning residential burglaries.
Braintree Police say they were alerted to the conspiracy following a burglary in the Messina Woods neighborhood on June 20 where the suspects fled after an alarm went off.
Roughly two weeks later a neighbor noticed a hidden camera in the bushes across from the home.
Then on July 11th officers noticed a man emerge from the victim’s yard dressed as a landscaper and followed him to an Audi SUV with Florida plates.
They noticed that same vehicle in the area at around 10:30 p.m. where a male dressed in black, wearing a mask, and carrying a backpack exited the vehicle and made his way toward the victim’s yard and emerge ten minutes later.
Units then converged on the vehicle and took the two female occupants into custody while the male fled the scene before he was taken into custody following what police described as a “significant struggle.”
The women were identified as 34-year-old Diana Maria Alvarado-Rosano of Flushing, New York and 23-year-old Lizbeth Hernandez-Gantiva of New York City.
Police say the man initially refused identification attempts but was later identified as 47-year-old Carlos Ocampo-Carrillo of Flushing, New York.
They were arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges including Possession of Burglarious Tools and conspiracy. Ocampo-Carrillo is also being charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
It’s also believed that the suspects may be part of an International Theft Ring and could also face Federal immigration charges.
