Brockton Hospital will be re-opening next week.
Signature Healthcare announced that the hospital will be reopening on Tuesday, August 13.
They say that when it does re-open there will be a new Outpatient Surgical facility, designed to be “more convenient and accessible for same-day surgical patients, providing ease of access to care and allowing patients to recover in the comfort of their homes.”; a newly improved main lobby; an updated Emergency Department that now includes a new 12-unit behavioral health triage unit; a new 1.5-megawatt solar array which will offset the hospital’s daily electrical power use; and two new state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization machines.
However, some services and programs will remain closed such as the Maternity Unit; Pediatric Unit; and Behavioral Health Unit.
The Hospital was closed following a 10-alarm fire in February 2023.
