A Braintree man is in custody following a police chase in Milton.
Massachusetts State Police say that at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday a trooper ran the license plate of an Audi traveling on I-93 North.
It was discovered that the owner of the vehicle had warrants for firearms violation and the car was pulled over.
The trooper then approached the parked vehicle at which point it fled the scene at a high rate of speed, exited the highway, and continued toward East Milton Square.
The driver, identified as 33-year-old Paul Eric Louis-Jeune, then exited the vehicle when it was stuck behind traffic and fled on foot.
Milton Police joined in the pursuit of Louis-Jeune and he was apprehended a short time later on Church Street.
He was then transported to the South Boston Barracks for booking.
