Coming off a trip to the Division 2 Super Bowl in 2023, expectations are high for the Marshfield Rams this season.
After a tough opening night loss to perennial Division 1 power St. John’s Prep, the Rams came home for a Week 2 date with Methuen, looking to avenge back to back losses to the Rangers.
Just seconds into the second quarter, though, Marshfield found themselves trailing 20-0, unable to stop Shane Eason and a vaunted Methuen offense, and sputtering when in possession of the ball.
A touchdown and a late defensive stop before the half gave the Rams some life, and enough footing to completely take control in the second half.
Marshfield finished scoring 31 of the final 34 points, securing the win with a long touchdown toss from Tor Maas to Jake Brilliant midway through the fourth.
