Marshfield Man Found Guilty of 2nd Degree Murder

A 36-year-old Marshfield man has been found guilty in connection with a drunk driving crash that took the life of a 13-year-old Plymouth girl, in 2019.

Gregory Goodsell is guilty of 2nd degree murder, manslaughter while operating under the influence, operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury and leaving the scene of property damage.

On December 29, 2019, 13-year-old Claire Zisserson was riding in a motor vehicle, in Pembroke, with her mother Elizabeth and friend Kendall Zemotel, when Goodsell, intoxicated from a Christmas party, ran a red light on Rt 139, in Pembroke, and crashed into their car around 7 a.m.  

All three were seriously injured, Claire Zisserson did not survive the crash.  

Goodsell is tentatively scheduled for sentencing next week.
