A police chase in Kingston resulted in a power outage for several residents.
Kingston Police say that shortly after 1 a.m. Monday they received a call from a resident who said three individuals wearing masks arrived at their home and threatened to assault them.
The caller said they may have recognized one of the suspects and that they may be armed with knives and firearms.
It was believed they would next be targeting a second victim on Nottingham Dr. and officers spotted a matching suspect vehicle with three people inside perhaps trying to change clothing.
The vehicle then fled the scene with officers in pursuit before it crashed roughly two minutes later into Kingston Fire Department Station 1 located at 105 Pembroke St.
The driver fled the scene but was detained, as were the other two other passengers.
As a result of the crash the generator and portions of the building were severely damaged and power was temporarily lost in the area with power lines overhead catching fire.
There was smoke in the building and mutual aid was called in while the roadway was closed so that officials and Eversource could ensure the area was safe.
The driver was unlicensed and driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen from family.
They were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Police say all three suspects are juveniles and their names won’t be released but they are expected to face various motor vehicle and assault related charges.
