Abington Crash Leaves One Dead, One Injured

One man was killed and a girl injured following a Saturday night crash in Abington.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that shortly before 7:30 p.m. Abington Police received several 911 calls reporting a single motor vehicle crash in the area of 700 Richard A. Fitts Dr. 

Crews arrived on scene and found an 8 year-old girl who had been removed from the vehicle and was being tended to by good samaritans on scene.

The girl was transported to South Shore Hospital, before being medflighted to Children’s Hospital in Boston where she remains for treatment.

The driver, identified as 44 year-old Christopher Berard-Bulman of Dedham, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The incident remains under investigation Massachusetts State Police, MSP Collision, Analysis, and Reconstruction Section, and Abington Police but officials say that, prelimarily, it appears that speed made have been a factor in the crash.
