The WATD Fantasy Draft is back! The Final Four is upon us, and 10 area teams will compete this weekend with a chance to go to the Super Bowl on the line. That leaves us plenty of big time players to choose from.
We’ll continue selecting one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers, and one team defense.

In a bit of friendly competition, we see whose squad wins out each week.
Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.
Defensively, points will be strictly based on how many points a team surrenders. A shutout earns 10 points, while 1 to 6 points allowed earns 8, 7 to 13 earns 6, 14 to 20 earns 4, 21 to 27 earns 2, 28 to 34 earns 1, and 35+ does not earn any.
Elite 8 Draft Results
While Brendan and Quinn got big individual efforts from their running backs, it was Johnny’s squad that dominated the week.
On Brendan’s side, a 180 yard, 2 TD performance from Davin True (Marshfield) garnered 30 points, and paired nicely with a two score night from Mekhi White (Randolph).
Quinn got a similarly big night from his tailback tandem. Jack Rees (Duxbury) paced all backs on the night with 191 yards and 2 TD, good for 31.1 points. Coupled with a touchdown and 90 yards from Jackson Richard (BC High), Quinn’s side was in business.
Ultimately, though, Johnny cruised with a 37.7 point night from quarterback Jack Luccarelli (Norwell) who rushed for 134 yards and ran four scores in against Abington, a 28.2 point night from Nate Helms (Carver), who caught five balls for 102 yards and three touchdowns, over 20 points from Vincent Busa (Xaverian) in his 150+ yard night, and 10 points thanks to a shutout from the Scituate defense.
Playoffs Round 3 (Week 12) Draft
Though the prior week’s results were not finalized, the order was determined to be Quinn selecting first, Brendan second, and Johnny third.
