A Whitman man is facing charges after he allegedly stole from a lumber yard.
Cohasset Police say that on October 25 video shows 50-year-old Jonathan Cutler driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck through the woods and entering the lumber yard after hours.
He then allegedly used a forklift owned by the business to load a trailer he was towing with approximately $7,000 in composite decking material before leaving through the woods.
An ad then appeared on Craigslist advertisement for decking materials consistent with stolen items from the lumber yard.
Police say a detective called the seller and arranged to ‘purchase’ the items.
They met him at his Whitman home where they placed him under arrest.
In addition police say some of the stolen decking was recovered from Cutler’s yard, and the Dodge Ram truck and trailer were impounded.
Cutler was arraigned Friday in Quincy District Court on charges of breaking and entering at night with the intent to commit a felony, larceny from a building, and trespassing.
