A car has been seized as the investigation continues into the death of a man found in an Abington backyard.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that shortly before 7:30 p.m. Friday Abington Police received a call requesting a well-being check on the caller’s male relative living at 563 Plymouth Street.
Crews located the unresponsive man, later identified as 43-year-old Anthony Leverone, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation commenced and officials say that, preliminarily, it appears that Leverone died of blunt force trauma, and high impact injuries.
However, the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Interviews were conducted with multiple people, surveillance video was reviewed, and search warrants were executed on several cell phones as part of the investigation.
A blue, Hyundai Sonata previously being sought by investigators was located and seized in Taunton.
Officials say the people of interest involved in this active and ongoing investigation were previously acquainted with Leverone.
