Duxbury firefighters were called in to rescue a deer on Sunday near Hatches Bar Rd.
Capt. Jack Ahern tells WATD News about some of the steps that were taken as part of this rescue.
Ahern say that anyone who encounters an animal in a situation like this should call 9-1-1.
Ahern say that once the deer was taken out from the ice, it was able to walk away under its own power.
