Little Fou looks like he is a magician’s best pal. Big tall ears, snow-white fur, and a cute nose that you just want to *boop*. But Fou deserves a home that is more than the inside of a magician’s hat, he needs a home filled with love, moments of relaxation, and an abundance of head rubs and ear scratches. Are you the person who can make this dream life a reality for Fou? Well perhaps you should check out the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts’ (APCSM) website so you can get started on the adoption process!
Fou is a small rabbit, turning 6 years old in a couple months, and of the New Zealand Rabbit breed. Fou is getting older and he just wants a new owner who will cherish and hang out with him. He is extremely sweet, loves to sleep in during the morning hours and then have a fun-filled day playing! Fou would be a great family pet, or a perfect companion for someone solo! He is ready to be your next family member so please read the information below and continue to the APCSM website for next steps.
If you are not ready to be a pet owner quite yet, there are lots of opportunities to get involved with APCSM. If you would like to Foster a pet, please click here for more information.
APCSM is always collecting donations too, anything helps to protect animals.
AND if you would like to be an APCSM volunteer, please click here for different positions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Step 1: Find a friend!
Visit our website to view listings of all animals currently looking for homes.
You’ll find information on each pet by clicking on their picture.
If you have questions about a specific animal, please email us directly at info@apcsm.org
Please kindly take note that we do not retain applications for extended periods, nor for special requests. Our website is updated automatically as animals become available, so please check back regularly!
An adoption inquiry is not a hold, reservation, or guarantee on pet adoption.
Step 2: Send in your app
If you see an animal you like, submit an adoption application! If you aren’t sure on exactly which animal – that’s OK too. We can do a general meet and greet with multiple animals.
After submitting an application, our staff will review your information and contact you. Please allow up to 3 business days to hear from us.
We will schedule a day and time for you to come to the shelter to meet the pet(s) you are interested in adopting.
Step 3: Meet your new buddy!
If your meet-and-greet goes well, it’s time to adopt! Your counselor will guide you through some paperwork to make it official. See our current adoption fees.
If you are adopting a cat, kitten, or small animal, please bring a secure carrier to safely transport them home. A collar and leash will be provided to you if you are adopting a dog.
If You Have Other Pets at Home:
We prefer that your current animals be up-to-date on vaccinations and regular/semi-regular check ups.
If you are adopting a dog or guinea pig, we will arrange a time for your current pets to meet your new friend here at the shelter to ensure they’re a good fit.
If you are adopting a cat, bird, or other small animal, we will not have them meet beforehand. We do recommend and encourage SLOW, supervised introductions in your home.
Please remember, we want you to succeed! Our animals deserve loving homes and every potential adopter goes through the same adoption process to ensure the animals are placed in a safe environment. We hope you find a great match!
