New charges were filed against a Holbrook man already charged in a drunken driving crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman in Braintree.
Police say 39-year-old Ryan Gorman was operating under the influence when he veered into oncoming traffic on Union Street on December 1 and collided with a sport utility vehicle.
A passenger in the SUV, 18-year-old Alexia Nixon of Weymouth, was seriously injured and later died at the hospital.
Gorman was arraigned on December 2 from his hospital bed and charged with three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury, driving negligently so as to endanger and failing to drive within marked lanes.
He was charged Thursday with motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol.
Gorman is free on $5,000 cash bail set and posted after his prior arraignment on December 2.
In addition the District Attorney’s Office says he was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the family of the victim and ordered to wear a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor.
Gorman’s next court date is March 6.
