Crews were called to the scene of an early morning fire in Kingston.
Fire officials say that shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday they were notified of a structure fire on Woodland Ave.
First responders arrived on scene to find heavy fire in a single family residence which eventually reached two alarms.
An aggressive interior attack was made, but that transitioned to an exterior defensive attack due to heavy fire conditions and partial structural collapse.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours as they worked to put out hot spots.
No injuries were reported but the home is considered a total loss.
Pembroke, Duxbury, and Plympton provided mutual aid, while Halifax provided station coverage.
